How far would teenagers go in order to not tell their parents about their problems and what is going on in their life. When the two teenagers met at a harmless ball, no one assumed it would lead to death.William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet demonstrates the severe consequences that result from conflict between parents and children. The disagreement between title character, Juliet and her parents begins with one question. Paris proposed the idea of marriage to her father. Mr. Capulet believed she was too young but quickly soon after changed his mind and told Paris he could woo her. Later in Act 1 Lady Capulet questions Juliet's thoughts on marriage. Marriage hadn't crossed through her mind fore Juliet replied to her mother “It is an honor that I dream not of’’ (1.3.73). She tells her mother she will keep in open mind when Lady Capulet mentions Paris. After the ball, Romeo returns to the Capulet mansion to reunite with Juliet. Juliet tells Romeo if he’s serious about loving and being with her to propose when and where they will get married. The next day they get married by Friar Laurence and consummate their marriage. Soon after Juliet tells her parents she does not want to get married to Paris.
