In many instances when young love is present, parents can get in the way of relationships, which sometimes leads to the fall of young lovers. In Romeo and Juliet, By William Shakespeare, this example is shown when Romeo and Juliet fall in love despite the hundreds of years-long family feuds. While in the midst of all of this parents' relationship, the two lovers decide to live their lives recklessly and make impulsive decisions. While Juliet's parents aren't the only reason that the two lovers fell in the end, the relationship between Juliet and her parents outweighs other factors. First, they moved the wedding date up a day after the suspected grieving of Tybalt, secondly, her parents kept a feud that they didn't even know why they were funding which forced Juliet to marry Romeo in Secret, and lastly, they never saw the sign of Juliet's rebellious …show more content…
This can be seen after Juliet is grieving over the loss of her cousin Tybalt where at the time she was very vulnerable and more likely to give in to decisions by her Mother and even then her mother moved up the date or her planned wedding, “Marry, my child, early next Thursday morn, The gallant, young, and noble gentleman, The County Paris, at Saint Peter’s Church, Shall happily make thee there a joyful bride”(Shakespeare 3.5.112-115). This is also shown right after by her father when he pressures Juliet in a time of grief over the marriage with Count Paris where he threatens her out of his house, “Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch! I tell thee what: get thee to church on Thursday, Or never after look me in the face”(Shakespeare 3.5.160-163).
