How Does 1 Corinthians Relate To Salvation

The bible says that men and women were created equal, but society does not live accordingly. We live in a world that puts men above women and expects women to go along like nothing is wrong. This book does an excellent job at looking at the deeper meaning of partnership and what it looks like for men and women to work and walk alongside one another. God has created each and every person in a unique and beautiful way, and we should not shy away or hide our talents. This book really opened my eyes to new ideas of how God sees man and woman, and how to truly love our neighbor as our self. One of my favorite parts was the analogy about salvation. Salvation is not a one- time thing that we never look at again. Why would we treat our mental and physical healing that way either? This is something that I really needed to hear. I have always struggled with this idea, but have recently been beating myself up over this. We are human, and that means we will mess up. But, we have a Father who loves us and will never leave. I loved when it talks about how all the parts of the body are needed and valued. In 1 Corinthians, it talks about how the body has many parts and each is important. I was confused as to why in this context. I assumed it was because we, as women, are quick to judge men and stereotype them. It goes on to talk about how women are “freer to put men down.” I think I disagree with this. I think men are just as bad, if not worse at stereotyping women and talking about them. Just like the media says that boys only think about football and food, it says that women care about their nails and shopping. I think media says if you are a girl, you must do these certain things because that is what girls do. And if you are a boy, you must like these things because that is what boys like. If you do not stay in between those lines, you are judged or made fun
