In the next century the The temperature in the U.S could increase b 10 degrees. How does Global warming happen? Polar bears are mammals just like people. Since they are mammals they can not breath under water and since the icebergs are breaking apart. Rising sea levels are just one of the consequences of melting icebergs. Global warming is not just affecting polar bear it is affecting other arctic animals. Polar Bears need the colder weather too for them to be comfortable. Polar bears matter because they are at the top of the food chain and important to cultures and economies of Arctic peoples. There population started In 2008, polar bears were listed as a threatened species.
Icebergs are breaking apart due to rising sea levels are just one of the consequences of melting icebergs. Ice glaciers are on the Arctic ocean they are thick pieces of ice. And when they break apart or melt their habitat is being destroyed.Polar bears spend most of their time on the ice glaciers To find food so when they split apart they have to swim farther to hunt for food.
