Harry Potter is the main character in the story. When he was a baby his parents tragically passed away. Before he was accepted to Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he lived in his uncle, aunt and extremely rude cousin. While he was there he was treated poorly and was forced to sleep in a broom closet. Later, Harry got a visit on his eleventh birthday from Rubeus Hagrid informing him that he is a wizard. From there is where his journey begins. Harry Potter has shown loyalty, perseverance, bravery, and recklessness throughout the story.
Harry Potter has been loyal to his friends during the story. Even when Draco Malfoy, the bully of the story tried to persuade him into being friends with him and leaving others behind. He didn't let the temptation of Draco fool him. Harry decided to stay with his friends Ron and Hermione through it all. Harry has shown perseverance in many situations. For example, during Harry’s first quidditch match, a kid from the opposing team was fighting Harry over the golden snitch (a flying golf ball that was tiny and very hard to catch, which if you did catch it, you would win the game). He was unaware of the challenges and situations he was about to face entering Hogwarts. Harry had to go on his own and leave behind everything he once knew. He was about to discover a whole new world of magic. This adventure proved that Harry was fearless of the unknown. At the end of the story, one of the professors turned out to be one of Voldemort's followers. Voldemort was the evil, all powerful, villain in the story that killed Harry's parents. Harry Potter confronted Professor Quirrell when he found out he was working for Voldemort. He then defeated them both. This showed that Harry was brave, courageous, and
