There are many students in high school who have started to think about college; if it’s essential for them. Most parents encourage their children to apply. Nowadays education is very valuable to the point that it will help a student get a job in the future. A job that is well paid and provides a good living for that person. Many controversies have been set high whether college is worth it or that it is not for everyone.
In the eyes of children, their future may consist of fame and fortune; most of these dreams do not come true. A college degree will definitely improve the chances for a child to achieve his or her dream to success. Recently, there has been a debate over whether college is worth it or not. Only a few students who decide not to attend college will be as successful as those who do. Thus, a college degree is a good value.
When acquiring a college degree you benefit greatly. The pay you get at any job will be raised if you have worked for a college degree, some jobs won’t even look at your resume if you don’t have a degree. Many people chose not to go to college, but roughly about 1/3 of high school students continue their education at college. Overall you get a higher job satisfaction if you have snagged a college degree. I would much rather be looked up to, rather than looking up to someone who has continued their education.

A college education is very important for me to obtain the career I want. College will provide me the knowledge and practice I need to be successful. Going to college will help me get accustomed to the pressure of the real world and will give me the opportunity to become independent. Graduating college is my number one goal in life.
