Matt Martinez Ms. Schroder English IIII 1 December 2017 Frankenstein In Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein, the monster drives for power over Victor Frankenstein and people that harm him. Victor creates an ugly monster and after the creating life for victor and the monster goes downhill. The monster ends up killing a few of Victor's family members. It's a very depressing life for the monster because he tried so hard to meet people and get people to like him but they only see him as a dangerous and scary monster. Victor makes him ugly which results in loneliness, absence of family relationships and Hardships. Victor Frankenstein creates the monster by using a term called body snatching. Body snatching is digging up graves at the grave yard and taking body parts from different people so he can make the monster exactly how he wants him to look. Victor created the monster because he thought he was doing a service to humanity, but everyone rejected the monster which causes him to be in a lonely state. After running away from Victor, he finds a family and steals their food until he realizes they are poor. After finding out they were poor he does chores for the family such as get them food and wood. In the process of doing chores, he realises how ugly he is when he sees his reflection in the pond and that is when the true anger grew for Victor but he also became very sad. Frankenstein looks for Victor, and as he walks through the woods, he sees a little girl drowning and saves her. An old man that saw the monster save the girl got the wrong idea and shot the monster in the shoulder. After he realizes that people will never accept him, he grows angry and accidentally kills a boy who was mocking him for being ugly. The little boy is Victor's brother, William
