Music is a powerful thing, for it can influence people’s minds. Every person has some specific preferences in music genres depending on cultural preferences and emotional conditions. People prefer listening quiet and slow music to relax or choose fast and loud melodies to improve their mood. It is interesting to notice how musicians reflect the world around them; contextual meaning represents cultural and historical changes in society, and the appearance of every genre in music illustrates the people’s needs and concerns. As science develops in Baroque period so does music. The appearance of oratorio in Italy in the 16th century gives the development of concert type of Catholic sacred music and provides balance between liturgical singing and opera. Spiritual exercises of the Congregazione dell'Oratorio provided the social context for oratorios founded by Filippo Neri who responded to the reformations of the Council of Trent. He and his friends gathered in the S Girolamo della Carità Church to discuss sacred topics. Further, Congregazione dell'Oratorio increased in significance and was spread in other parts of the world. The text is sung in Latin or Italian. Oratorios are created as a kind of informal worship in Catholic Church; the narratives from the Bible are told by singers in churches, concert halls and courts. It is more affordable for people and composers. Oratorios change in time, elements, and subjects throughout the history. Besides Italy, composers write the most notable Latin and Italian-language oratorios in France, Germany, and England, but the vernacular Italian oratorio volgare is more favored and prospers until the late 18th
