North Korea’s politics, economic standpoint and, nuclear advancement could have a great effect on US operations. The beginning of the isolated communist state, North Korea, began shortly after World War II with Kim Il Sung as its leader. Over time, North Korea has advanced in many ways throughout the Kim family ruling. This regime was the beginning of a strict and divided government with many ambitions to emerge through the international community. In 1994, Kim Il Sung passed away and his son, Kim Jong Il continued the family’s legacy. Kim Jong Il is said to be the strictest ruler from the Kim dynasty and ruled North Korea with an iron hand. The Kim dynasty is known for ruling North Korea through fear with strict policies and psychological warfare such as cults and prison camps. After Kim Jong Il’s death, the current ruler Kim Jung Un, continues the ambitions of his ancestors to be the most powerful nation in the World.
