How Does Scrooge Change In A Christmas Carol

Scrooge is the protagonist, the character with the most room to change, in Charles Dickens’ book A Christmas Carol. Due to outside forces, that manifested themselves in the forms of three ghosts, Scrooge changed throughout the book. The ghost most responsible for said change, is the Ghost of Christmas Past. The ghost of Christmas Past was the cause of extreme emotional reactions in Scrooge, a drastic change in Scrooge’s character, and caused Scrooge to ponder his life’s outlook.
The Ghost of Christmas Past caused extreme emotional reactions from Scrooge. Some of the emotions shown by Scrooge as a result of his interactions with the ghosts are; joy, sorrow, and fear. These emotions are displayed through the viewing of past events, or ‘shadows’
