There are seven billion people in the world and all of them dream of something they want. When someone dreams for something they want, they need hope and faith to meet that ambitious desire. John Steinbeck wrote his novel, Of Mice And Men based on characters who lived through hardships by having ambitions and dreams. One of the main characters in this novel, Lennie Small, gets through his troubles by having faith for a better future. Often times people have high hopes and dreams for their future, which is far more superior as to being pessimistic about what is yet to come or what atrocious things life will throw at them. To get through his dilemma, Lennie hopes to own a farm and tend rabbits in the future with George. Due to Lennie’s behavioristics it's hard for him to get jobs done without getting sidetracked with something completely irrelevant. Since Lennie dreams of having his own farm and tending rabbits, it is what pushes him to get his work done more easily. “Le’s do it now. Le’s get that place now.” (Steinbeck 106). Lennie is impatient in wanting to own the farm. He likes the idea of living with the people close to him doing what he loves, tending rabbits. Lennie has an obsession with soft, small animals and petting them. He tries to keep himself behaved and work hard so they can buy the land with one more months salary. Lennie believes that owning a farm is George’s dream as well, but George had a different dream in mind. He wishes to live his life without being tied down, helping out Lennie and watching him to make sure nothing goes wrong.
