Tobacco, in many of its different forms, is incredibly harmful to the human body. It is the product of curing the nicotine- rich tobacco leaves present in American plants called Nicotiana Tabacum. Those leaves are cured in various processes of drying and fermentation and are used to produce tobacco which in fact, has miscellaneous uses including smoking and chewing.
No matter how tobacco is used, it is never helpful for the body. As a matter of fact, replacing the cigarettes with hookah or pipes does not lessen the nefarious impacts that the tobacco and its different ingredients have on our bodies. According to the American Lung Association, cigarettes contain about 600 ingredients. Those ingredients release more than 4,800 chemicals which are all, with no exceptions, considered poisonous. Long term damages and injuries to the human body systems are results of smoking tobacco. Some of the negative impacts of it are considered immediate and may appear soon after smoking. Those consequences could include poor vision, for smoking increases the risk of different eye conditions including Glaucoma and Cataracts. Smokers also suffer from anxiety and irritability, which is because of nicotine withdrawal when smokers miss their smoking breaks. In addition, increased risk of blood cancer, blood clotting, and diabetes complications could result from tobacco smoking. Also, it creates wrinkles in the skin of the smoker. As for female smokers, they tend to enter menopause earlier than nonsmokers. Problems with pregnancy accompany pregnant female smokers and tend to affect the newborn on many different levels. Smoking during pregnancy puts the newborn in risk of developing physical deformities and sudden infant death syndrome
