How far would it go to expose the truth? Mark Antony would go far enough to expose the truth about someone who has already passed. Looking into the tragedy of Caesar, either people adored him, or thought he would not be a good leader. Mark Antony, and Brutus thought that he should have been killed off so that he would not become aa good leader. They thought that he would have too much power in his hands and would do harm for Rome instead of protecting the people, so they ordered that he shall be killed. In Brutus Funeral Speech, Act III Scene 2 Brutus states, “Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. Had you Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men? As Caesar loved me, I weep for him; as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was valiant, I honor him: but, as he was ambitious, I slew him. There are tears for his love; joy for his fortune; honor for his valor; and death for his ambition.” I would reply to this piece of evidence, that Caesar was not a good leader, and he did not have ambition as well. Based on how he was represented on both speeches his pride got to him and hats because they ordered for him to get killed. They thought he would have too much power in his hands. To add to that, Caesar really cared for Brutus, and he acknowledged that. But, Brutus expressed that he honors him for his values and death but does not state how he was a good leader and made good decisions for the people of Rome.
