Nearly everyone has had someone in their life that has done something that stabbed them in the back. We all can agree that it is not fun. In the play, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, there is a young prince by the name of Hamlet. Sadly, he gets betrayed by many people he is close to. Betrayal is an act by someone who does something that harms another, even if it wasn’t meant to hurt them intentionally. Betraying a person you are close to can potentionally cause severe problems in your relationship. The point of my paper is to show you how Hamlet is betrayed and how it is relatable to today. In the play, Hamlets mother, the Queen, was once married to the former king, Hamlet. Hamlet had passed away by a “snake bite.” Only a short month later, she was already remarried to the new king, Claudius. Claudius is Hamlets own brother. Because of this small act, she has done multiple things to betray her own son Hamlet. One thing that has happened is the new marriage itself. Its hard for teenagers to accept a new parent figure so close after they lost one they were so close to. Another thing that she did was how she …show more content…

This method is good because then he doesn’t have to physically hurt her, she does it to herself. If Hamlet were to chose another option of revenge, he could do something to exspose her. He could show people what she has done to hurt him. Doing this method would allow Hamlet to get revenge and have the Queen become embarassed. One downside to this option would be that she would become so embarassed that it could cause her to take her own life. In doing so, she could get away from all the judgment, but it wouldn’t be what Hamlet
