The story of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a tale about two lovers and their fate to be together. Their two families, the Montagues and the Capulets, live in Verona, Italy in the fourteenth century where their family feud takes place for multiple years. Romeo and Juliet defied the odds of their families hatred and came together to love each other. From before meeting each other to their death, both of their actions had changed greatly. The thesis of Romeo and Juliet, that extreme love can change a person’s identity, is apparent throughout the play.
