This past weekend my softball career came to a complete end. I have spent the last 15 years of my life putting in the hard work, dedication, and endless effort that has brought me to where I am today and I couldn't be more thankful. I have made many friendships along the way that will last a lifetime, and memories that I will cherish forever. Although I'm sad that it has come to an end, I am ready for a new chapter in my life to begin. I want to thank all my coaches and teammates for the continuous support on and off the field, and pushing me to the limits I never thought I could reach.
+ How Softball Helped Me I started playing softball when I was in eighth grade in an outside league team in Arvin made, I always found baseball interesting and wanted to play, but my parents would not let me because it was a boys sport, and I would cry a river every time they said no because I really wanted to play .When I heard there were going to have softball conditioning and tryouts and a new team named Arvin which was, where I lived. I was so happy and wanted to join right away I told my parents and they agreed to let me try out it was like a dream come and the best day of my life and I told my parents I was going to try so hard to make the team.
As a young 8 year old little league baseball player watching the big screen tv, watching my favorite players wishing that one day I would be that big leaguer playing on tv having kids watch me and wish for the same dream and same success. Some people may same its to big of a dream or that it will never be me on that screen playing in the fields of legends, angles, and dreams but to this day I sit here and tell myself to dream big and keep dreaming because there is always a chance and there can never be doubt in your own mind if you truly believe in the goal of becoming what you want to become. Now grown up 16 years young I go to the field everyday knowing that in a year I will be walking up that stage to graduate and walk up to the stage of the MLB draft room and be congratulated by the commissioner and the other players in the room.

Participation is key. Dedication is key. Commitment is key. Concentration is key. You must be thinking why am I saying all of this.
Through my 7 years of playing competitive softball, I have gained a greater understanding of myself and the people in my life. The experiences I have endured over time helped me grow not only as an athlete, but as a person. Softball has helped me create some of the most important relationships and memories; the hard work and dedication I have put into this sport has made me the person I am today. It’s crazy to think a sport as simple as softball could have such a major impact on my personal growth.
Sports have allowed myself to develop such strong relationships with my family. Not only that but it has taught me to always pursue my goals no matter the obstacles in my way, this is something I will take on with me to college, my career, and just to continue to do so throughout my life. Growing close to my family has been one of the biggest most beneficial factors of playing sports. For example my family is the reason that I have gotten where I am today with sports, they’re the ones driving me to and from practices.
Being involved in sports teaches vital life lessons that will promote you to overcome challenges you endure in everyday life. The passion and leadership required in the sport of softball reflect the qualities to be successful in my education. My life-long experiences in softball have helped me develop into the person I am today in pursuing my academic career. Through my background of being highly committed to the game, taking on leadership roles and balancing academics with athletics it has prepared me for college. Softball is very meaningful to me and is one of my main commitments.
What's your goal? My goal is to be league champions for my softball team and to succeed in softball. I’ve been playing softball for as long as I can remember. I remember traveling to tournaments and the long car rides. I remember failing and wanting to quit.
I am a creature of habit; big changes scare me. This is something that has really dominated my personality for the past couple of years. When I was going into the eighth grade, I moved from Richmond, Virginia to Phoenix, Arizona, a place where no one knew who I was and very few were willing to try and figure me out. I had lived my entire life in Richmond and was very unwilling to move. I think this is where my personality really began to evolve.
Think Big Leagues When I play baseball with my friends I have lots of fun, but imagine what it would be like to play on a professional team. My parents dream for me is to be successful and happy, but I have had an interest in baseball since I was four years old. I remember waking up ready to go play a tournament in the fresh summer air. When I watch the games on T.V, Mike Trout always stood out to me.
My competitiveness at times can be a blessing and a curse but I also feel that some people that don’t have that same drive don’t understand what it’s like. When
People think sports are just sports, but in reality to athletes it’s an escape from life, it’s our second family, and most important we feel like we belong there. Sports make you feel like your apart of something bigger than a team. Softball has been my second family and I have made so many amazing friendships that might last for the rest of life and even if they don’t, I will never forget all my friends or the memories that I have playing ball with
As the softball season went on I learned that there are times when you. As well I learned that it is not all about winning, but experiencing what is to play on a team. During this time I made a lot of friends. And that just part of my story.
My Experiences in Softball Crack! That was the sound echoing off my bat. Down the baseline I went running, turning first base looking to see where the ball was. Sliding into second base, I was safe. I stood up and heard the roar of the crowd.
