Loyalty is priceless. In the play "Romeo and Juliet” Mercutio is considered to be one of Shakespeare's great creations.Yet Mercutio is killed early in the play, Mercutio helped out in many ways. Mercutio had many traits showing how he was a memorable character. Two traits that make Mercutio a memorable character are his love for his friends and family, and how helpful he was.

Few days after the party Mercutio and Benvolio were interrupted by Tybalt. Travis was furious and wanted to beat up Romeo for intending the Capulet's party “Where is Romeo, will I will rip his head off” (2.2.2). Romeo was not there at the moment so Mercutio stepped in and battled Tybalt, they fought until poor Mercutio died. Romeo was furious that his best friend was killed by Tybalt. Romeo at the time was not willing to go because the love of his life (Rosaline) was intended to be there. Mercutio recommends that Romeo should go and he should look for another girl “Attend the party as many ladies will be there, and you will forget about Rosaline” (3.3.3).
