Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story between two teens that fall deeply in love with each other. Their love is so deep and true that they were willing to give up anything to be with each other, even their lives. Although the touching story has a lot of love it has even more death, but who is to blame for all the bloodshed in this beautiful story? Tybalt and Romeo were of different houses, thus it was understandable as to why they loathed each other so much. Mercutio was a loyal friend to Romeo, unfortunately unlike Romeo he was very short-tempered. When Tybalt started to insult Romeo Mercutio went straight to battle, he then lost his life. Mercutio’s death was the first of many more to come. But whose fault was it, Tybalt for picking a fight or Mercutio for being short tempered. When Tybalt spotted Romeo he began to verbally harass him for destroying the Capulets party, due to Tybalt’s actions and the hot day Mercutio did what any man would and stood up for his friend. This lead to a battle in the middle of the streets. Unfortunately Tybalt ended Mercutio’s life, this was the first of the many deaths in the story. Tybalt knew that the prince had declared that anybody found fighting would be sentenced to death, thus he ran off, to only come back minutes later. When Romeo saw his friends killer he could no longer contain himself, he drew his sword and began to fight. Romeo knew his fate, his punishment, thus he ran off before the prince could arrive. Benvolio stayed at the scene of the fight to explain to the prince what had happened. Both families wanted justice for their killed family, Mercutio and Tybalt. The prince decided that instead of killing Romeo he would banish him from
