Q1. How is motivational theory useful to managers to motivate individuals at workplace in Coca-Cola and Zong?
Motivation is a psychological process through which unsatisfied wants or needs lead to drives that are aimed at goals or incentives (Luthans & Doh, 2012). The figure below represents the basic motivation process. Motivation is significant to any company such as Zong and Coca-Cola. The more inspired the employees usually are, the more energized the team can be. The more will be the team work in addition to individual employee side of the bargain, more profitable and successful will be the business. During amount of amendments, there are often more adaptability and creativity. Motivation will lead to an optimistic in addition to challenging attitude at the job place.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
Maslow depicts motivation by having a chain of command model that contains distinctive requirements of staff. These are Psychological, security, connection, regard and self-realization needs.
Psychological needs are need to have food, water, air as well as shelter. Security needs are the desire for safety, stableness, and the absence with the pain, threat, or condition. Affiliation needs are the desire for a friendly relationship, love, and a sensation of belonging. The desires for feelings associated with achievement, self-worth, and recognition or respect are esteem needs. Self-actualization needs involve persons realizing their full potential and becoming all that they
