Napoleon the “Great” In today’s society anyone from anywhere could be a leader, but there is only few that can be an effective one. An example would be, if anybody decided to be a President they would be confused and lost with all the power they now have. Resulting that our country could end in a disaster, and loss everything we have. Not just anyone could be Presidents, and that is why deciding a leader is important. A few leaders do have what it takes to be a leader, and they know how to have everything under control. One of the few leaders is Napoleon from Orwell's Animal Farm. Napoleon was intelligent, persuasive, and assertive. Without those feature who would have known what could have happened to the farm. Napoleon knew the alphabet faster than any other animal on the farm, and was able to use that against them. . Because he was so wise he could change the writing on the rules to fit his boundaries, while the other animals would not know. “Clover learned the alphabet but could not put the words together, Boxer could not get beyond the letter D.” (Orwell 28) The other animals struggled, and that led the perfect opportunity for Napoleon. Napoleon was also very clever with his intelligence, while most leader would use it for writing impeccable speeches Napoleon used it for something else. He used it to get into the other animals minds, and make them believe he was the leader. The other leader Snowball wrote amazing speeches and was more promising, but the other animals still believed Napoleon was the head leader.
