Percy Jackson The son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson is a demigod who starts out unaware of his true father. As he grows, he learns he has powers like being able to control water, heal quickly and read Ancient Greek. Percy Jackson is a hero because he confronts Hades, saves Olympus, and has powers that make him read Greek. One reason that Percy Jackson is a hero is that he was brave enough to confront Hades.
He does this by going on missions to find marbles to get his mother back. He loves his mother so much that he would do anything for her. He went to the Underworld just to ask to have his mother back, but Hades wants Zeus’ lightning bolt. When Percy tells Hades that he doesn't have it, Hades decides that he will not give back Percy’s mother. Then he yells and throws his mom to appear in human form. (Columbus)
