How Is Victor Frankenstein Different

When one is born, they have no experiences, no lessons learned, and no opinions or prejudice. Their slate is clean. In the novel Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, a monster is brought into the world to experience nothing but hate and fear. The monster is rejected by society and cast into the world alone. Victor Frankenstein was the creator of the creature and he did little to assist the monsters acclimation to society. If done differently, the monster's creation could have opened doors in the world and helped people learn a lot about life itself. The differences that could have been put into place on this living beings life would include showing love towards him, letting people know what he is, and personally I would have kept him safe. Like a nurturing mother who cares for her newborn son, she shows affection towards the newcomer to the world, and shows him love and care. The mothers one wish in life is to make her creation happy. If this was the mindset that Victor Frankenstein had towards his creation, the monsters personality, and the way that he reacts to the unknown would be totally different. Victor states that he is “glutted himself from the shrieks and misery of the people” (Shelley 161). If nobody else is on my side in what I am trying to accomplish, I am going fight tooth and nail for the monsters protection. The actions that I put place do not necessarily have to be physical either, I could simply calm people down and show the benefits of my creation and show that the actions that the monster have are all in a safe manner. I would be the smart member of the community that I am and show the pros of having the monster, versus the very preventable cons that the monster has as
