Every individual is unique in many ways. We all have different strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, morals, opinions, and backgrounds. We grasp our individuality through interactions, conversations, and relationships with others. Political socialization is the formation of political ideas and values based on what we watch, learn, or experience with others. These personal ideas are influenced by surrounding factors such as family, friends, media, and educational backgrounds. Political socialization has a significant effect on our character and who we become.
For example, political socialization affected my life through the way I have been raised. My family has influenced my character and my personal virtues through being an example of two conservatives who shared the important right of freedom of religion with my sister and I. They did this by taking us to church and showing us how to stand strong in your christian faith. My background in a christian family lead to my strong belief in the conservative value of life itself. I believe that every life is precious and that abortion is never an option. Through the teaching of morals as a child, I was able to find myself and my own values.

In the United States, our political culture can grow and prosper because it is sheltered by our rights and freedoms. The United States Constitutional Amendments set boundaries and limits but also gives the freedom that is deserved to a United State citizen. I believe this is important in having a successful political culture because without it, the citizens would not be free to live in absence of restrictions on their basic rights. Some countries are not given the political freedom as we are given in the United States. Citizens is those countries are not allowed to have freedom of speech, religious freedom, and not allowed to view anything outside of their own country. I am grateful and proud to live in America where my freedom and political beliefs are
