As how the book explains it by itself, propaganda model shapes what the media does and presents. It talks about “the nine giants”, organizations that dominate the media universe and play an impactful role in society. By the same token, Herman and Chomsky argued that the internet has limitations as a critical tool, due to the private and concentrated control that the government has over it to limit the internet to be used as a democratic media vehicle. Politics had been used the internet as the main source of propaganda, which has increased the competition of advertisements that pretend to change or pursue society to vote or act in an specific way based on their politics preferences. It is important that people realize that the internet is not the only biased source that organizations use to deliver their propaganda; magazines, movies, books,newspapers, TV programs, music, videos and even toys are used as effective vehicles for hidden ideological messages (XVIII). As stated by Herman and Chomsky, researches had revel that there are about 20,000 more specialized people working to “doctor the news”, That there are journalists writing them.
