The Industrial Revolution has provided a way for enormous economic growth to occur in Britain.With the population increasing so rapidly, textile is in more demand than ever; there was more demand than supply. Inventors wondered how they could increase production, and found ways to make more materials, faster. Factory owners can now effectively supply the consumer and make huge profits. Because of this, Britain is the single free-largest trade area in all of Europe. We have good roads, waterways, and no internal barriers. This makes trading more effective and profitable because there isn't much holding our country back geographically. Another reason England is so successful is due to rich deposits of coal and iron ore. With these resources, people can either buy or sell the goods. Also, the materials can be used to advance technology better than ever …show more content…

For example, inventor James Watt used coal and applied it to the transportation and industry needs. With the materials, he effectively created a better steam engine. As a result, he improved iron production. Along with Watt, another inventor, Henry Court, had a way to make a purer iron. Court introduced a new method for melting and stirring molten ore to get a purer iron, which could be modeled into various items. Along with these improvements, there has been many advances in agriculture. A man named "Turnip" Townshend created a crop rotation to figure out how to get the most out of the land. He figured out that crops take nutrients out of the ground, so he developed a system of plant rotations that would replenish the soil and produce a bigger harvest.
