Throughout history many people has made up speeches that was for the better. One person who made one of them speeches would be Martin Luther King jr’s speech, I had a dream. Another person who made a big speech was Colonel Joshua Chamberlain speech during the CIvil War. Chamberlain spoke this speech when he was talking to 120 mutineers about the war they were getting ready to go to war. The war had been going on for about 3 years and Joshua Chamberlain is in charge to lead the north to Gettysburg. He had 120 mutineers that he had to deal with. Chamberlain’s speech changed most of the mutineers decision to go with them to war. Chamberlain’s speech was very a outstanding speech to the mutineers. One way he changed their mind was his facial experiment. His face was very stern when he was giving the speech to the mutineers. In the scene when he is talking about how they lost men and he needs more people to go to war so they want him to go. (Gettysburg) This shows that he must really need more people to come if his face looks like that during the speech. This reveals that his face is real serious and he asked them to come help them fight. Another way he changed the minds of the mutineers is his emotions. It sounds like he is getting very emotional when he says why the people are there. (Gettysburg)of watching This shows he was trying to make the mutineers feel like they should fight to help these people that came to fight. This reveals he was trying to make the mutineers feel like they should fight because not all the people came here because they wanted to fight. The final way he changed their minds was he was be affable. The scene where he said that they were more than dirt and that they were all in the war together. (Gettysburg) This shows he wants them on his side during the fight. This reveals that he wants everyone to fight and be on their side not just certain
