In William Golding’s Lord of the Flies he exemplifies his theories on humanity all throughout the novel. One of Golding’s goals is to see how human nature plays into the flaws of society. Golding creates a perfect situation where the boys are trapped on an island when the restraints of civilization are nowhere to be found and human nature takes over.
