Good afternoon. I'm distinctly thrilled and enthusiastic to have this opportunity to share my passion, qualifications, and rationale for my application to be one of the Human Services Managers with the Oregon Eligibility Partnership.
I sought these positions because throughout my career, I have developed a deep commitment to serving the community and advocating for those in need. I believe that access to the services OEP is tasked to provide is not just a basic right but also a catalyst for positive change in people's lives. With that in mind, I would like to outline how my experience, skills and temperament ideally align with the requirements of this role.
Firstly, my educational background includes a degree in Social and Behavioral Science and nearly 20 years of service within ODHS that have included roles in Self-sufficiency, Child Welfare, The Governor’s Advocacy Office, and Human Resources. This combination has equipped me with a solid understanding of the complexities and challenges involved in administering the programs at ODHS. I have also gained a comprehensive knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices, enabling me to effectively navigate the bureaucratic landscape of state government, while upholding the agency culture and ideals.

I firmly believe that everyone deserves equal access to human services, and I am dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers that prevent marginalized populations from receiving the support they need. I will ensure that policies and programs prioritize inclusivity and cultural competency and will promote and actively embed our Equity North Star, RiSE Elements and Trauma-Informed Organizational Policy in everything we do.
