Good evening!
First of all, I would like to tell you that I am 54 years old, therefore I am the oldest student here.Teacher and friends, please be patient with me.
I have not studied English since 1981 and I´ve realized that I needed to improve my English since when I saw my daughters making fun with my pronunciation.
That´s why I decided to be in a classroom again and I am quite satisfied with this decision, because I think it is worth it.
Tonight, I suppose that all of us have a difficult mission here: Speak in public.
I don´t know if all of you agree with me, but it´s really uncomfortable for me to speak in public and to get this situation worse we must use our English.
I have been thinking about it since our teacher said to us that this speech is a part of our course, so my friends like everything in our lives we can´t give up, we must face the challenges. That´s what I will try to do in the next few minutes.

I am a physician and now I work only as a rheumatologist.
I used to work in an intensive care unit too and sometimes I had to work at night. It wasn´t easy working at night, working at dawn and in the morning instead of going to my house and rest I had to go straight to my office and work as a rheumatologist . I was always very tired and angry, both at the office and at home.
I couldn’t have managed that situation anymore and I didn´t feel at ease with that kind of life.
Five years ago I could not stand anymore and decided to stop working at night and weekends because I didn´t want to go through that all again.
