The thirty years war was a series of brutal , bloody , and a very deadly wars that took place mostly in Central Europe and it is seen as one of longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.
There are multiple examples of major changes in Africa that I could talk about for this exam. But being that I only need a few pages, I will focus on, for this exam, rise and end of the Malinke Empire and Songhay, the religious influences throughout Ethiopia, trading towns in the east of Africa, and most of the Iron Age societies. The examples of change will display how towns and kingdoms would come and go, the people settling there, or development of new productions and technology. A significant amount of conflict was brought upon the early World as the Europeans invaded the territory the Native Americans had already claimed. The goal of “settling” was far from easy.
The imperial mission and mindset of European’s drastically changed the course of history. Driven by their lust for money and power, the Europeans ransacked the lands of the Natives of America and devastated the people of Africa. At their encounter with these foreign bodies, to which they declared were less than their white, Christian selves, the Europeans saw nothing but economic opportunity in these lands. In the Americas, Natives were disregarded and killed, and their land stripped of all the bountiful resources it once provided. In Africa, the people were taken as slaves and treated with less respect than garbage.

The Hundred Years War (117 years) was caused because of three main reasons. The first reason was political instability. The Capetian rule of France died out, so the rightful heir was the King of England. However, French nobles stated that the French monarchy could not be passed down to a daughter, so they decided to give to a cousin family of the Capetians (Valois). Even though several French nobles passed their humble abodes down to their daughters, they could even imagine giving the French monarchy down to an Englishman, basically creating a superpower of the Middle Ages.
How close did the Jacobites come to regaining the British crown for the Stuarts in 1715 & 1745 After a couple of years in power, the Catholic Stuart King James II of England (James VII of Scotland) was forced to flee his country and go to continental Europe after his protestant nephew and son-in-law, William of Orange, invaded England in 1688 and was appointed co-ruler alongside his wife Mary Stuart (James II’ oldest daughter). This sparkled the creation of a political movement whose members believed in the restoration of King James and his male descendants to the throne of both countries. There were several Jacobite risings since what historians call “The Glorious Revolution”, the most famous ones being the rising of 1715 and the one of 1745.
