In my opinion, Louis Riel was a hero. I think this because he showed the qualities of a true hero, such as understanding his people, being brave enough to fight for them, and being a leader. He understood his people, by becoming their fiery spokesperson, and showed the government everything that the Métis wanted to say. With his people in mind, he created the National Committee of the Métis, in hopes to protect their lands. He also provided a Provisional Government( temporary) for the Métis.
Catherine and I will continue to grown in many ways in highschool and beyond. My early years at St. Catherine were spent joyfully playing with my friends and becoming closer to my classmates. Some of my favorite memories relate to spending time talking to my friends after school and exploring the campus while at extended care. I realized I would probably never see most of them again, especially the British counselors, many of whom had never been to America before that summer. I started thinking of all the things that would change, such as a new school, new neighborhood and new friends. My parents, my sister and I were inside the airport now heading over to the security check. My brother wasn't with us because he couldn't wait to get to California and start his new university, his love for California started when we went for a trip to Los Angeles. After we went through the security check we sat by our gate and waited. “Check it out, so many planes are landing” my sister exclaimed.
Moving to a new country can be difficult sometimes. Leaving all my relatives and friends back home was the saddest thing for me. My mother told me that we were moving to a new country. At first, I thought my mother was joking about it. but little did I know that she was telling the truth.
