There were many things that spoke to me while watching the film Beasts of The Southern Wild. I felt nervous and hopeful by watching the interaction between Hushpuppy and Wink by their reactions toward their surroundings. They not only held onto their pride but also showed how important it was to fully support each other even during the darkest time of their life. In addition, what spoke to me the most about this film was their relationship with each other. Although they faced a tough time with the absence of mama, they continued living even when the environment was not at its healthiest state. Likewise, because of their love and hate relationship they were able to understand and connect with each other more on an emotional level by wanting the best end result for one another. …show more content…
Although the horned boars were perceived as superior and unstoppable, Hushpuppy was able to show them who was superior above all. By Hushpuppy’s interaction through making direct eye contact, it gave them a sincere of trust and submissiveness. This powerful scene not only showed Hushpuppy as a strong independent girl but a leader who seeks for peace. Furthermore, a powerful scene was when Wink led Hushpuppy to the bus in hopes of giving Hushpuppy a better life. Even though Wink was physically drained from his illness, he still managed to put Hushpuppy first in his life that reflected on how parents will do for their child. Furthermore, as a father who raised his daughter up through a tough environment he only wanted the best for his daughter even if it means to send her away. Moreover, these two scenes enhanced my understanding to better grasp their emotional connections with each other despite of the bipolar
