Sure, Neville was okay at the beginning but throughout the way, he had lost his emotions. He was only careless and numb. Most of the actions he did around him all had a negative come back. An example would be liquor. Yes, Robert Neville did drink alcohol and constantly too. It did not help the situation he was already in, he had turned into an aggressive violent man. Instead of accepting the harsh reality of being alone and knowing he might be the only human alive he drinks around it. Not only that but, he drinks carelessly. One of his triggers to get drunk was to forget about the moaning women vampires who were trying to seduce him outside. Now, this has been an issue since the beginning. Neville has constantly thought about women in dreadful ways. He would get sexual pleasure when killing the women vampires. He has done experiments to them in horrible ways. Yes, they are vampires but I would consider that a bit too much. He has lost all concern and guilt of killing. He does later find out that the vampires he had killed all these years weren't exactly a threat. The New society where a group of alive vampires that took pills to stay alive without blood.
