Martin Luther King was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. He would grow up to be predominant leader in the civil rights movements in America during the 1950’s and 1960’s. He wanted to end racial segregation and discrimination. On August 28, 1963, a rally was held at Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., Martin Luther King gave one of what is considered to be the most famous speeches in American History the “I Have A Dream Speech.” Martin Luther King’s speech was effective in appealing to the intellectualism and emotions of his listeners.
