I became interested in mechanical engineering because it consists of designing machines, devices, such as phones and this includes robotics where students design a functioning robot for competitions. The university I want to study at is Texas A&M University College Station, due to their logical teachings, and it is nationally known for their department of engineering. The life and time spent by mechanical engineers is most of the time studying and traveling to different industries and must also include formal education in a university such as Texas A&M University College Station. A career in mechanical engineering is very difficult due to the tasks and responsibilities they have. Some examples of their responsibilities consists of, “ Evaluating …show more content…

Negatives in the fields of engineering such as ongoing traveling, and education stated in AOL Papers,”too much travel to the same place becomes boring and annoying as they have to make onsite inspections for the placement of machines fixing the equipment.””for becoming a successful mechanical engineer and availing all services/high salary in addition to consist progress and past experience you first need to have a master’s degree, and oftentimes a doctoral as well because of the intense competition and rapidly changing technologies.”(AOL Papers 2). Due to the continuous advancements in technology it is the responsibilities of mechanical engineers to keep up with their education to be prepared for being able to understand how a technology works and how it functions, as well as how to repair it. Other negatives include prototype and public accidents. Mechanical engineers risk their lives when testing prototypes when it comes to testing new vehicles, or testing a new weapon for the federal government mechanical engineers are also responsible for the public accidents caused by the technology they created and not properly testing the technology. Having a career in mechanical engineering can be very stressful which will consist in being a negative fields of engineering. The reasons why for the stress in engineers is due to the advancements of
