ISS Personal Statement

An opportunity like this, to take an online program that is in the area you desire, is such a great find. I’m excited to apply to the program and I’m eager to attest I’m more than qualified to be accepted. My passion is for humanities, as is being a Mom and wife. I’m empowered to further my education as much as I’m able to. I hope to take my knowledge to help people and myself in life. I’m more than comfortable with online schooling, and look forward to continuing my education again.

It’s absolutely crazy how much it’s changed our world, for good and bad. I’m really interested in how the social media even has huge effects on business and how the business can run. This is one aspect I would love to incorporate into my work in the program is to learn all about this. I love how social media has changed the ways or gaining awareness and helping others, I love reading these stories online, how sharing the information can get around the world in so little time. News of people or families that need help from a natural disaster or, a family that lost everything, can have a GoFundMe page set up and anyone can donate. Taking classes along this matter can help me learn more about it, and I can hopefully spread on knowledge and the desire to reach out and help those in

I’m very comfortable with the format and what is expected of me as a student for online. I would say I am at a 9 with my comfort level. I say a 9 because overall, I love that in a classroom setting, I can simply walk up to an instructor and speak with them and get an answer or explanation immediately. However, it’s not a big problem for me; I am able to send them an email with any questions. In my online high school I spent my entire day on the computer, about the same amount of time as in the classroom. I was able to successfully complete my classes there, and I didn’t mind the setting of going through the internet for anything. One major positive opinion I have on online courses is that it allows me to dedicate as much time as I need. Having a toddler at home means, I have to be creative in my time for school. Online schooling allows me to be available for my son, and still be able to work on things. This is the one major positive thing I have for this program; I can be a Mom and a student at the same time. The last time I was taking an online course, I was taking additional classes in person and working two part time jobs. The online course helped me a lot because I was able to work more, and still be able to focus on the course when I was home. Taking the in-person courses were getting difficult for me because I needed to work to pay my bills. I was
