As an individual, I have always aimed to achieve superior accomplishments. Admission to the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) is one of such primary goals I hope to attain in my high school years. There will be so many new opportunities that unfold with acceptance to a school of such a high caliber. I will gain positive characteristics, which will allow me to take bigger strides to become more successful in life. Not only will I profit from attending this school, but I will also contribute to and enhance the school with a richness that is special to me.
The amount of variety in the activities you can take part in is extensive. I could never exploit my science fair attributes to the fullest at my current high school. However, at IMSA I will, through the Science Olympiad. Even more STEM opportunities are possible with the IMSAlympians competitions. Additionally, with extracurriculars come experiences. Many different cultures are part of the IMSA student body. Participating in events that are part of diverse cultures will give me new experiences to cherish.

For example, IMSA is a larger and more dynamic high school compared to others. The number of times that we need to collaborate as students will significantly rise. This will strengthen my teamwork and communication abilities further. Moreover, when I work in partnership, it will increase the respect and camaraderie between me and my peers. One more aspect I want to bolster is my leadership capabilities. There are many ways to expand them, such as the Future Business Leaders of America club. It will prepare me for leading complex projects during college and work
