Point 1: Sociolinguistics (8) 174w When it comes to reading, every student has different experiences in regards to what they are interested in reading. Working with students that are extremely diverse sociocultural theory addresses the importance of incorporate reading that students can relate to culturally. Implementing culturally diverse material, students begin to reflect with the story that they are reading and they are motivated to read because they are becoming part of the story. By implementing different cultures books, they are expanding their knowledge of other cultures that they are not familiar or were never aware. Adapting to students culture is important for a teacher to do, especially when teaching a diverse school because making those personal connections are crucial to building relationship with the students and their community.
As well as understanding what was the target audience to whom the author is trying to convey his message, the situation and what areas were the author, most effective in persuading the audience utilizing these three appeals and if not how could he or she been more persuasive to the public.
This will support students by working cooperatively with the teacher to increase their understanding of each requirement (Borich, 2011). Focus Student 1 (Above Proficient) was among this group that met or exceeded the standard in every area identified in the rubric. Additionally, student 1 will be provided enrichment activities to progress his learning. I will build upon their knowledge using strategies to increase my student’s understanding of how to prepare an informative explanatory text using topics that consider the audience. These strategies will assist them with providing credible facts and definitions, well developed points, and a concluding statement that is relative to the topic in their text.
In Chapter One of Thomas Cooley’s The Norton Sampler: Short Essays for Composition, the audience was exposed to several strategies recommended for reading pieces of literature. These strategies were divided into three segments: Previewing the Text, Reading Closely and Critically, and Responding to What You Read. Each segment contained a list of either advice or questions the reader could heed to while analyzing their given text. Later, the chapter exposed the audience to the four traditional types of writing utilized.

The fourth step is writing the assignment and correcting the mistakes. The last, but not least, is bringing the final draft of my assignment to the reading and writing center and asking somebody to review it. This last step helps me especially for the reading responses for the book Seedfolks since a person who did not read the book has to understand what was all about. Kobo (Kimifusa) Abe is a well-known Japanese author. Abe’s book The Face of Another won the Yomiuri Literature Prize in 1960 (Zolbrod). His work first began to receive international attention during his travel to Eastern Europe (Price, Magill’s). His writing was influenced by his childhood and culture which is prevalent in his novels The Face of Another and Woman in the Dunes.
Introduction Communication is a very powerful thing and it is so powerful that humans and animals can interact with each other and communication is inevitable and it is either verbal or non-verbal and it can be effective or ineffective and it important that communication is effective or else you as an individual will not be able to build relationships and maintain them for a long time. The essay will talk about my strengths and limitations in a dyadic conversation between my friend and me. I will be focussing on myself in the conversation. The essay will also cover the communication concepts and basics. Strength (Effective Communication) There are two types of ways to communicate, effectively and ineffectively, the type of communication that will be discussed in the paragraph is effective communication.
