Inclusive classroom setting is an integrated setting in which all children learn together. Inclusion gives special education and gifted students the support they need while they learn alongside their general education peers. According to EDB (2008), inclusion refers to participation and learning of all students, not only those with disabilities. Given the diverse student needs in all regular classrooms, teachers can no longer adopt one single teaching approach for all students, nor can they expect all students to attain the same academic standard. Therefore, as this child has unusual curiosity about numbers and mathematical information, he also has difficulties in reading and writing. So, when teaching this student in their areas of strength, offer him/her the same compacting and differentiation opportunities available to other gifted students. When teaching in their areas of challenge, teach him/her directly whatever strategies they need to increase their learning success. When teacher is writing a lesson plan, teacher solely purpose should not be to promote students’ academic skills , there are other elements teacher needs to consider for all around development for example how she designs differentiate instruction to meet the needs of the students. Therefore, this lesson plan has some good points such as variety of text to meet the needs of individual, group work to promote collaborative skills but could be improved in the following aspects.
