Week 9 Chapter 12 focuses on planning before the class. The author mentions that planning can remind teachers what they intend to do during the class, and it is also helpful for class observation. Although class planning is important, sometimes things do not always on the right track. Therefore, teachers have to be flexible and change the plan accordingly. The aim of the plan is to have coherence and variety.
The teacher should make sure that each student is involved in the lesson, ask process questions, open-ended questions, be patient when waiting for answers to these questions, and ultimately never say anything a kid can say. Collecting and documenting evidence of performance are related because of its ability to be a powerful tool of evidence that can be studied before interpreting the evidence. The process of documenting and collecting evidence allows the information to be analyze and proven before it is interpreted. Interpretation of evidence has been interpreted to quickly and it is doesn’t present the facts. Observation of the classroom practice provides the best evidence of the domains of planning and preparation, and professional responsibilities of the framework for teaching is where teacher demonstrate their skills. In these domain evidence can collected directly, such as a phone log, this demonstrate the teacher ability to communicate with families.
Planning can help you to formulate ideas and to ensure that the structure of your final essay is logical and appropriate to the essay title. There is many different way of planning that I use such as drawing pictures, making lists, brainstorming, using graphic organizers. Planning is important because it make the writing easier when I plan what I’m going to talk about. Also in the article by Berkenkotter which she did study and experiment on Donald M. Murray to see how perfitonal academics and she found that planning is important process in Murray writing Strategy. “Some of the more provocative findings of this study concern the sub-processes of planning and revising that have not been observed in conventional protocols”.

An effective teacher is likely to switch and mix new approaches to suit the objectives of the unit of work or lesson. As objectives vary within a lesson, the effective teacher will move between different teaching approaches or methods. The teacher begins by deciding what he or she wishes to achieve and then chooses the most appropriate method of realizing those objectives. By injecting pedagogical approach to teaching, students can have a better chance and can engage to physical education and sports.

It is my goal to make sure students are not just memorizing facts, but are actually understanding. They should be able to take the lesson and apply it to other areas of their lives. I believe students need to be assessed frequently and routinely. The students need accurate and effective feedback, so they can make any necessary adjustments.

Why? During my lesson, I did have to alter my instructional plan as I taught the lesson. Therefore, the reason that I had to change my instructional plan was because, my students needed for me to model the lesson concept more than I had planned. Furthermore, the students were able to effectively complete their individual work after I added additional time to model for them how to find the main idea of a piece of text.
Now, having no official teaching experience before, I was startled when it came time for me to design the lesson plan. My students knew literally nothing and my aims were manifold. Rather intuitively, I realized my lessons should be based on my students’ needs, so first I conducted introductory informal interviews about their goals and expectations and later while observing progress and dynamics in class, I would adjust some of the topics and activities to better suit my students’ needs. Clearly, my major goal was to improve their communicative competence, but I also kept in mind that both groups took my classes as an extracurricular activity, so I had to present these two hours in form of enjoyable intellectual stimulation, rather than a standard lesson, so it had to be structured in a way that would combine different types of activities while also engaging all four
