Carmen introduced everybody to Jana Pierson who will be teaching DA106: Dental and Medical Emergency Management and DA202: Dental Materials. Jana is a native of the Rogue Valley area just received her master’s degree and she has been a dental hygienist for 18 years. This is Jana’s first teaching experience and she is having fun and excited to be at RCC! Briefly, Teri updated the dental assistant staff with the new position changes.
The teacher should make sure that each student is involved in the lesson, ask process questions, open-ended questions, be patient when waiting for answers to these questions, and ultimately never say anything a kid can say. For example if the teacher asks the children to create a cat from play dough, she should also create her a cat from the play dough and show the class her attempt at making a cat out of the play dough and she will enhance and encourage the learners to create their own because hers is just a mere guideline another example would be if at the beginning of the lesson the teacher says children put on your aprons as we going to do art today, at the same time she is busy putting on her apron. Teacher as a participator The teacher as a participator helps guide the children but not by physically doing their work for them. Children enjoys having an adult’s participation, especially when they feel they stuck or not certain if what they doing is right.
Willing to receive and learn from feedback and suggestions. I always observe to seek out the new experience, reflect, and responding to children’s need or help other teacher when they need. Before planning activity for children, I look for which activity that children are interests in and what area of learning
Many people are raised up by the idea that the society they live in always needs more adjustment, and other people around them are not always friendly. I am also one of those people. Since I was little, I was taught by my father not to trust anyone around, and not to pay too much effort into any kind of relationship. Even though I might not necessarily agree with him, I still followed his advice for years. However, I always ended up feeling lonely and depressed.
Briley Belling, Weekly Reflection # 8 How does the teacher plan the day, week, semester, year? My cooperating teacher keeps all lesson plans in a binder that are organized by each week, with the dates and times. There a spot next to each day, to write a note about the lesson being taught, the student activity, or an event that is happening. This way, there is a nice layout of the week, and what is happening and when.
How do you use your knowledge of your students to plan instruction? I work closely with students to learn likes, interests, skills, and ability. I also review analytical data provided form NWEA Reading test and other assessments to find a baseline. With that knowledge, I plan lessons,
My Reflection of Real Talk for Real Teachers Real Talk for Real Teachers written by Rafe Esquith has been thought provoking as well as entertaining to read. I have learned a great deal from reading this book and I hope to implement a few of his ways in my future classroom. I can relate too many of the stories that have been told in this book because this is real life in a school environment. I would like to break my summary down chapter by chapter.
To improve quality in primary education Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh undertaken several of new intervention. TSN through Lesson Study is one of them. This explore the implementation process of TSN, role of teachers and field level officer, how does TSN giving benefits to teachers and students, how does TSN develop teachers professional skills. Study results find process of TSN through practicing lesson study, teacher’s professional skill development, student’s benefits, teacher’s collaborations & collegiality, instructional strategies to students and limitations of TSN. Although some challenges and limitations were found in the study it also showed positive impacts on students learning and developing teacher’s professional skills.

Outstanding teachers possess a multitude of qualities making them unique and unforgettable to the children they serve. I believe that outstanding teachers are passionate, inspired, creative, compassionate, patient and understanding.
I started doing my field Experience in Lime Kiln Elementary school where I shadowed Mr. Mikalov, a fifth grade teacher, When I first walked into his classroom it was so colorful and full of artworks, student works and inspirational quotes I felt happy walking into his classroom so I would imagine what a fifth grader would feel like. Mr.Mikalov was very generous in showing me around the classroom where they have their group work, reading area on the rug. He showed me the schedule they follow every week, they do math every day from 12:13 to 12:55 and have lunch every day at 11:26- 12:08 and off course I took a picture of it to know when and what they are doing that time. Mr.Mikalov introduced me to the principal who is very nice and welcomed
The classroom that I will be observing is a Preschool classroom at KinderCare Learning Center in Bartlett, Illinois. The teacher I will be observing over the next period of time is Laura Sturgulewski. She has worked at KinderCare for 8 years, mostly in the 2 year-old room until fall of 2013, when she took the lead teaching position of the Preschool classroom. Her classroom mainly has 3 year-olds, but on occasion has a mix of 4 year-olds and transitioning 2 year-olds. The number of students in her class depends on the day, because they are a child care center some students have a part time schedule, unlike an elementary school where children attend every day.
Classroom Observations Mrs. Canada is the first grade teacher that I observed, and the subject that she was teaching was reading. She had planned well-organized power points and crafting materials in advance, so she was prepared for the lesson. The two times I observed, the lesson that was being taught at both times was reading. Children in the classroom used a lot of previous knowledge for the lesson.
