Enugu State “Igbo Masquerades” Celebration
Sacred Heart Hall is the place the Igbo Masquerades Celebration occurred in Oakland, CA on October 10, 2015; the Nigerian "dancers" are male based there were 20 male artists. The Nigerian dancers and performers accumulated wearing their conventional garments, veils, gems, instruments, and their state hues secured the white stripped walls of the hall. The musicians had African drums, Agogo Bells, Money dance, traditional music, and masks; Agogo Bell which is a big cow like bell with a stick very loud ding, ding; African drums they sit or lean between your legs with deep based sound or up-tempo soft sound depends on the mood they are expressing another event at the same location a dance called the money

He was wearing a dark hard shield mask haired eyebrows and long jaw facial hair, with huge eyes grinning, huge cheek bones with an exceptionally one of a kind head piece African assembled figures. According to igboguide.org “The masquerades are geared in colourful robes and masks made of wood or fabric. Some masks appear only at one festival, but the majority appears at many or all. Masquerades are associated with spiritual elements”. He circled into the audience and shake his stainless feathered costume so we can all get a closer look as he danced to the African drums and the Agogo bells.
