Instead of showing facts and statistics about Susan G. organization, to build on her own issues of the organization, Benfit devotes most of the beginning of her argument with just her perspective. Using the strategy of her very own ethos to make you look down upon the organization. I led twenty-two students during their first year of college to provide them success as students. I co-taught a class that focused on study skills, UNK resources, and involvement on campus. My ability to communicate and adapt to the diversity of the class was shown through creating different learning activities to employ in the classroom. I exemplified team work by collaborating with another instructor. Through my experience as a Peer Academic Leader, I was able to hold two counseling sessions with each student per semester to provide myself as a resource.

My prime directive as a teacher is to empower my students to live satisfying and productive lives. I want to help them develop three sets of skills — interpersonal, organizational and communication — that will help them in every profession and all areas of life. As a teacher, I get to teach someone else’s young adult child about the world and show them how to navigate it. My goal is to positively impact their lives and make them feel good about themselves while also teaching them English and debate. I genuinely enjoy being with them and especially love the most difficult of all ages — namely, 18+ teenagers.
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
