The author of this article talks about Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. This article also talks about Bernie Sanders immigration plan if he were to win the presidency election in 2016. I believe the argument the author is trying to make is that although Bernie Sanders barely talked about his views on Immigration in the beginning of his presidential campaign, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have idea’s of what he believe needs to be done. The author of this article makes the argument that during the Civil Right’s Movement, the main focus was equal treatment regardless of race or nationality. The arthur also goes on to talk about the Naturalization Act of 1965 which allowed entire families to start a new legal life in the U.S., causing a lasting impact. This article talks about the American Dream and the famous historian and author of The Epic of America- James Truslow Adams. The author’s argument is that the American dream is not about turning rags into riches but equality for all Americans, poor and rich. In conclusion, the author is explaining to his readers that the American dream is more than just getting rich and having a great life.
