The left side of the spectrum in modern America approaches the issue of illegal immigration in a manner that accepts that immigration is right despite the many opposing debates. The left side consists of values like egalitarianism, internationalism and individual freedom approaches. Egalitarianism advocates for equality, which is taken as a moral option and an element of justice. Internationalism, on the other hand, refers to greater political and economic cooperation among nations and their people. Therefore, the three approaches claim that immigration is not a crime if the right procedure followed in entering the country is right. Enforcing the law means eliminating the illegal immigrants because it's a fact that they are lawbreakers. Apart from being lawbreakers, the immigrants flood the job market. Notably, most of the immigrants want job opportunities, yet they do not have the required skills. In the end, they deny the trained people chances because of the point that they accept lower wages. Apart from that, the illegal immigrants do not pay for income taxes. Since they are not known by the government, then it becomes hard for them to be known as they skip the taxes. It is unfair to the citizens because those not paying the taxes mean that other citizens pay for them. It simply means harvesting what a person has not planted. As a result, criminal cases increase, and this leads to harming the nation. For example, people live in fear that as they report to their jobs, thieves would break in as they search for food and other commodities.
