It is very easy to take out country and or freedom for granted. For those of use that have always lived here and never seen anything different it is almost impossible to to fully realize how good we really have it. We were not given anything we have today however, it took an extreme amount of hard work and dedication by the leaders of our past. It is impossible to discuss how this country achieved what we have now today without talking about George Washington. Our first presidents, the man who really pulled our country together and helped lay the ground work that we still live by today.
Good evening my fellow Americans. Tonight I would like to address to you all the many reasons in which why I believe this country and the people in it are more than the worst things that have ever happened to it. When I think of American citizens I think of tenacious people who will not stop until they reach want they are trying to achieve in life. Why is America Exceptional? In 2001, my mother was able to acquire a visa to live in the United States of America, my mother wanted to chase her American dream. She knew that where she used to live, the opportunities were not there for her. My mother saw the greatness in the US that most of us see. The US is arguably the best country in the world, and most people who live here would agree.
Ladies and Gentlemen it’s around this time every four years that we witness the inauguration of a new president. Our witnessing of this inauguration marks another 4 years that the principles upon which this country was built, still stand. It signifies that the freedom our founding fathers fought for over 200 years ago still matters today. And we, as a country, have to continue to fight for these Rights and freedoms so that future generations of Americans can continue to pursue the American dream. Many countries look at us and see a powerful nation that is the land of the free and the home of the brave.
“O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave” This powerful line closes the first verse of our great national anthem. This striking phrase truly stands for America, it tells of the land of the free, the home of the brave, and the compelling bond freedom and bravery share. I believe the gift of sacrifice from our courageous soldiers is America’s gift to my generation. How often do we stop, for even an instant, to think of the number of lives that have been taken so that we may enjoy the many blessings of freedom? Every morning at school when we say the Pledge of Allegiance and have a moment of silence, I look at the flag on the wall and think of all the suffering men and women went through so we may stand and look at the flag.
Living in a country that not only gives me rights, but ensures ways to make sure that I can protect them. Not every country can say they have the same rights that we do. I 'm grateful for those who serve our country so that we can maintain our freedom. 5. Writing as a form of art and expression.
Today, being part of Generation Z consists of technology, social media and living through innovations, however we often forget to acknowledge the gratitude for entitlements we have obtained. In the minds of many Americans, the assumption is made that owning a house, receiving an education, and voicing one’s opinion are liberties granted to society. As a conscious citizen of the United States, I am wary and appreciative towards my country for allowing me to work towards my ambitions moreover giving me an efficacious future I can work towards. America’s population goes overboard boasting, and almost competing on how patriotic they are, yet if they were to be questioned about the meaning of patriotism, few would know how to give an accurate and concise answer.
