Importance Of Comedy In Deadpool

Why is it that everyone loves a good comedy? Well it's because most great comedies share a lot of the same kind of traits that makes them good. These traits are sometimes in other movies but they really shine when it comes to comedies.
A good comedy needs to have a humorous lead to be successful. In Ride Along the main character Ben, played by Kevin Hart, attempts to become a police officer but gets caught up in some shady dealings that he is unequipped for. This keeps the audience laughing because we witness him fail over and over again. Secondly, in Deadpool the main character Wade Wilson, played by Ryan Reynolds, keeps onlookers entertained throughout the movie with wisecracks and breaking the fourth wall. The movie is humorous because in the middle of intense fight scenes Deadpool will freeze the action and interact with the audience. Finally, Austin Powers a Man of Mystery was a hit because of Austin Powers, played by Mike Myers, with his 60’s mindset waking up in the 90’s. In Ride Along 2 James, played by Ice Cube, remains a serious character throughout the movie watching over Ben making sure he doesn't mess up. He is serious because he takes his job very seriously and does not take kindly to Ben's shenanigans. Secondly, in Deadpool Colossus, played by Stefan Kapicic, is there to try to convince wade to join the X-men. In the end of the movie Colossus helps keep Wade focused on achieving his goal of saving his wife. Finally in Paul Blart Veck, played by Keir O’Donnell, attempts to be a voice of reason in Paul's head telling him he has no chance of stopping him. Veck may have been the villain but, talking to Paul while he was attempting to stop his robbery helped drive Paul on. To make a great comedy you need a serious supporting
