Malaysia is a very fortunate country because it is coloured up with different kinds of races, cultures and religions by different people with different personal background. The many different ethnicities that currently exist in Malaysia have their own unique and distinctive cultural identities, with some crossover. This blends in and forms such a perfect harmony between them. Venon Howard once said, ‘by cultivating the beautiful we scatter the seeds of heavenly flowers, as by doing good we cultivate those that belong to humanity’. We all know that diversity in these things should be maintained and hold in esteem in order to live together in a peaceful life. From my personal view, we should be very obliged because we are given a chance to live in this country where no wars are held because of this disparateness. Thus, we should look into this matter as it brings uncountable benefits to us and our country. The maintenance of this diversity is done to make sure that there will be no disturbance when conducting our everyday life. The main question that keeps hovering in our minds is that why should we nurture and cherish this diversity? To be simply put, if we do not treasure this norm that is being practiced by the generation before us, we could have been in a big trouble. This is because altercation will occur among the residents of Malaysia. This can lead to a frightful war.
