Introduction
To an excessive amount of people there has been the debate whether employability is the sole key element contributing to a successful professional, Or whether other range of skills are needed for one to become a successful professional. In this essay, I will argue that employability does in fact contribute to one becoming a successful professional. I will achieve this by defining employability, listing examples and showing the relation it has to a successful professional. However by listing a wide range of skills such that are essential as a contributing factor to a successful professional such as critical thinking, I will prove that one does need these skills. Critical thinking skills can be defined as the ability to think rationally and clearly with precise reasoning ability. This skill is essential in the job market because it is what employers expect from potential candidates. According to Burns, Wallace & Shirato, this skills allows one to be able to reason and think by themselves (Independent life-long learning) which is essential to becoming a successful profession for one will have to think on the spot and be able to reason effectively and communicate with clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, bredth, logic and significance.
