INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Research Language which human use to communicate with each other is a crucial tool that makes human completely unique among all animals. It is the device made by humans themselves to symbolize their lives, society, and culture. It is the tool used to express humans’ thought and react to others. Moreover, humans use language to develop and advance the better life, and language becomes really vital nowadays. Although language is made by humans, it is so powerful over humans today that they cannot live without it. Even if there are some countries or societies which do not have their own language, they learn and borrow other languages from other places. However, there are still many different languages which are used in many different countries, so they try to find the best way to help most of them communicate and understand others by making an agreement to use English language as a common language to communicate all around the world. (Brandone et al., 2006) In the Southeast Asia, there is the economic incorporation of the Southeast Asia countries and named it ‘ASEAN’ which are comprised of 11 countries to work together in order to mainly support the economy system and culture as well. Each country has a different language that people use to communicate. In order to provide convenient communication and interaction between the countries in the Southeast Asia, every country agrees to use English which is the international language
